Installation of the Dean of the Cathedral
On Saturday, March 25, 2006, The Very Rev. DeLiza Spangler was installed as the new dean of St. Paul's Cathedral. After a solemn procession, the she was introduced to the congregation by Bishop Michael. Bishop Lee, the retired bishop of Western Michigan and Mother Spangler's former bishop, gave the sermon. During the installation, Mother Liza was presented with the various signs of her office after which the bishop presented her to the congregation. The celebration continued with the Celebration of the Eucharist, and afterwards the parish hosted a champagne reception. |
